Real Estate Professional Bio for Stephanie Roodman
Stephanie Roodman joined MHP in 2006 as a project manager and was promoted to Senior Project Manager in 2009 and Director of Real Estate in 2023. She is responsible for supervising a staff of three professionals as well as improving cross-departmental communication. She also handles all aspects of acquisition, rehab, and new construction projects including developing financing options, overseeing the development of plans and specifications and construction, and closeout of loans. In her role as legal counsel, Stephanie reviews all MHP departmental contracts and agreements ranging from grants to vendor and consultant contracts.
Before coming to MHP, Stephanie worked with a law firm representing small public housing authorities as well as the housing finance authority of Illinois. Stephanie holds a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania in Urban Studies, a J.D. from Chicago-Kent College of Law, and an M.A. in Urban Planning from University of Illinois at Chicago.
